Es gibt viele Details die den Klang beeinflussen: Kesselarten und Größen, Fellarten und Hersteller, Rim-Arten, Gratung, Stimmung, Dämpfung usw. Meistens lässt man vieles davon aus Kostengründen außer Acht, was verständlich ist. Am weitesten und preiswertesten kommt man jedoch mit der Fellauswahl und Stimmung – deswegen liegt mein Hauptaugenmerk beim Checken genau darauf. Ich probiere aus, bis wir das optimale Ergebnis für die jeweilige Trommel und Deinen Geschmack gefunden haben.
Natürlich kann ich Buchen- oder Pappelkessel nicht nach Ahorn klingen lassen, aber selbst aus Billigeimern lässt sich oft ein brauchbarer Sound herausholen, wenn die Verarbeitung stimmt. Ist die Gratung aber uneben oder die Trommel nicht richtig rund (gibt’s auch bei teuren Sets!), so kann man kaum einen guten Sound herausholen!

Meine Sets klingen durch das Drumchecken durchweg besser als im Originalzustand, denn jedes Set wird individuell gecheckt und mit den passenden Fellen ausgestattet. Wenn Euch ein Set so gefällt, kann es ein echtes Schnäppchen sein – wenn ihr Euren individuellen Sound wollt, kommen wir ums erneute Checken nicht herum! Kommt also bitte vorbei und probiert sie aus.
